Waiting for God’s Will in Your Life

Standard

ADVENT REFLECTION 12/4/14

If everything goes exactly as you planned, what will your life look like in 5 years? 10 years? 20 years?

Did you know that God’s plan for your life is way better–and probably way different–than anything you could imagine?

We often can’t see the big picture–God knows we’re not ready to handle it. He asks us to wait and to trust as, piece by piece, his will for our lives comes together.

Listen to “The Waiting” by Jamie Grace.

What will it look like,

What will it be like

When my world turns out like you planned?

During this season of Advent, we wait for the commemoration of Jesus’ birth, that we celebrate on Christmas. Let’s thank our heavenly Father today, for sending his son to us.

We also wait for Jesus to come to earth again, in all of his glory, to bring about the fullness of his kingdom. Let’s invite Jesus today to live in our hearts; to fill our beings with light and love and grace, so we can’t help but share it with the world.

Finally, we wait to see God’s will come to fruition in our lives. Let’s watch for God’s movement in our lives and say “yes” to his leading today, trusting that he knows what’s best for us.
